Atmosphere at Slowdown | Photo Essay

Atmosphere, Evidence and Blueprint wrapped up their last show on the Family Vacation Tour to a sold-out crowd at Slowdown in Omaha Tuesday, Sept. 27. Ohio's Blueprint and Los Angeles' Evidence properly warmed up the crowd for Atmosphere, the Minneapolis rap group which has built a large following in Omaha through repeated touring for the better part of the last decade.

Atmosphere keyboardist Erick Anderson broke it down in tracks inspired by Nina Simone and mixed with guitarist Nate Collis, while rapper Slug's lyrical storytelling held the crowd's focus. Hopefully, more rappers will hit up Omaha and Lincoln in the future. This show offered a glimpse of Nebraska's huge hip-hop appetite.
