A perfect end to Ringo of Kill County's solo set Feb. 6 at Hear Nebraska's Launch Party at Duffy's Tavern, "Coffee Black" is also one of the best songs off the band's latest album, The Year of Getting By. It seems like the perfect soundtrack for a sobering end to a night of bar fights, cattle rustling, heart-breaking, car racing and hard partying.

 

Originally from Lincoln, Kill County is now a long-distance duo whose members, Ringo and Josh James live in Ames, Iowa, and Austin, Texas, respectively.
