Icky Blossoms | Song Premiere

by Jordan Minnick

If you haven't listened to dance-groove project Icky Blossoms by now, I guess we won't reprimand you, but we will show a slight degree of disappointment. Mastermind musicians Derek Pressnall (Tilly and the Wall) and Nik Fackler (InDreama) have lent much of the band's young existance to creating in the studio, with a bounty of four released tracks (including "Hiss of Spell" with Make Believe Studio's Bikou-En Orphanage Benefit Compilation — worth the $5 buy).

But as of today, the Icky B's can put another song notch on the hypothetical bedpost, with the HN premiere of "Temporary Freakout." Like the band's earlier tracks, it won't fail to have the dancer inside of you — no matter how embarrasing — shaking booty, or head nodding, at minimum. With the buzz of a convulsive beat  throughout and lyrics that tell of disconnected lovers, it plays to your heart and your dancing shoes. It's a song you'd put on a mixtape and slip to that stupid boy that won't make up his mind. But don't let us decide what goes on your mixtapes, have a listen for yourself.

"Temporary Freakout" by Icky Blossoms. Recorded by Icky Blossoms and Jeff Koster. Programing by Icky Blossoms and Jacob Thiele. Mixed by Andy LeMaster. Free download available over at the band's Facebook page.

See the band perform the song live:
