The Drift Station Gallery, 1746 N St. in Lincoln, was the perfect setting for Mount EerieNicholas Krgovich and the long-awaited reunion of UUVVWWZ Sunday, Oct. 2. Lincoln's Saddle Creek Records band, UUVVWWZ played an entire set of new music they've been working on this past year with new drummer Dave Ozinga (Carrot Carrot). If you missed them here, you catch them Thursday, Oct. 13 at the Bourbon Theatre as part of Lincoln Calling 2011.

Vancouver's Nicholas Krgovich played a short, impressive set that had the crowd by the tips of his fingers with every stroke of the keys to his poetic lyrics. Known for his work with No Kids, Gigi, P:ano, his self-titled solo debut is set to be released early 2012.

Phil Elverum wasn't kidding around with the renaming of his band/project Mount Eerie. Granted, the ex-Microphones artist made this transition back in 2003, but you can still feel the essence of where he is taking you. Mount Eerie, stemming from an island just north of Seattle, is exactly that: A remote, delicate, natural sound sucking you into a meditational state. You can't help but be magnetically pulled into Elverums' gentle yet bellowing voice. The crowd sat, stood, and — some who were captivated during their nicotine fix — peered in from outside, all as if watching a movie.
