Record Store Day Preview

compiled by Cameron Bruegger, Jordan Hiebner, Molly Misek, Chance Solem-Pfeifer and Jacob Zlomke

Founded in 2007 by a group of independent record store owners as a way to celebrate the culture around the thousands of stores of the kind, Record Store Day has grown into a widely anticipated event for stores, customers and artists.  Each year, the day is celebrated in part by hundreds of special releases, this year ranging from Husker Du reissues to a professional wrestler's punk band to the aural component of a David Lynch art show.

Hear Nebraska Compilation Vol. 2 vinyl is available at Lefty's, Recycled Sounds and Backtrack in Lincoln and Homer's, Saddle Creek Shop and Almost Music in Omaha. The compilation will be available for 20 percent off on Saturday here.

For the vinyl-inclined, we've compiled the specials, sales and events that will be featured at many Nebraska record stores on Saturday here.
