Unassuming. You might not be able to pick Doug Kabourek out of crowd. The original Norman Bailer (then The Faint) drummer and now conductor of Fizzle Like A Flood, is probably OK with that. During a recent OEAA summer showcase at The Sydney, Kabourek was already a bit anxious about how the songs on his band's upcoming album would translate acoustically — then a couple videographers started pointing cameras at him from a few feet away.
A swig of water, a thumbs up and a moment in the stillness before his American flag Chucks seemed to catch fire as he stepped up and a belted out this gem called "Rides To Get High." Enjoy this moment of courage.
